Contemporary Illustrator was a project researching then implementing the methods/style of two illustrators, one from Australia and the other overseas. My illustration created of Andrew WK was created using the process work of Mike Giant and the visual style of Marcus Dixon.
Original drawing is A3 size and was mapped from a photograph using tracing paper and ink on to bleedproof using unipin fineliners and sharpies.
A 2000 words report was created of research in to the chosen artists.
Some of the process involved with creating the final illustration. A drawing of line work was created on tracing paper, then the image was inked directly on to bleedproof.
